Size Matters: How to Successfully Choose a Pot for Plants

Size
Ideally, pots for plants should be at least 2-4 inches larger than the plant. This gives the plant room to grow. However, you also need to consider the plant’s growth rate. Choose a pot on the larger side for a fast-growing plant and a pot on the smaller side for slower-growing plants.

Shape
