7 Things to Do When Visiting Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of the world’s most famous tourist destinations.

But it’s not just a city for gamblers and clubbers, it also offers so much more—from grand hotels to science centers to backdrops for films and TV shows.

One thing about Las Vegas is that it’s incredibly diverse, much like other cities around the world. This means you can have a different experience every time you visit because there is truly something for everyone!

Keep reading as we take a look at what visiting Las Vegas can look like!

1. Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are one of the most popular sights for people who go to Vegas. It features a huge glass dome with seasonal displays and 13,000 plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. The conservatory is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and free to visit—all you need is time to enjoy it!

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are on display within the hotel’s lobby; they change four times a year and feature different themes each time.

For example, during springtime, there are flowers blooming everywhere you turn while summer showcases bright colors like purple or red roses against white backgrounds.

It’s easy to spend several hours here since there are so many beautiful things to see—and best of all: they’re free!

2. Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam is an engineering marvel, and it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in Las Vegas. If you have time while visiting, it’s worth checking out—and if you have a little extra cash, you can take a guided tour!

The dam is filled with interesting facts about its construction, as well as its importance to the local area.

It has been designated as a National Historic Landmark by the U.S government because of its historical significance to the United States (as well as being just plain cool). The tour takes visitors through all parts of this massive structure including tunnels and turbines.

When visiting any city or town that has been built on top of a desert over hundreds or thousands of years there are always two questions: how did they get water? And how do they keep from blowing away?

On your Las Vegas trip, these questions are answered at Hoover Dam where tourists learn about hydroelectric power generation and how water conservation programs help preserve our environment for future generations by managing our limited resources responsibly without wasting them unnecessarily.”

3. Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.

The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., a collaboration between Marvel, the Nevada Museum of Art, and The Venetian Las Vegas, is a must-see attraction for any comic book fan or visitor to the city.

Located in The Venetian, the experience features interactive exhibits from some of your favorite Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America.

You’ll also get behind-the-scenes looks at props and costumes used in popular films like “Iron Man 3” and “The Avengers” movies.

Joss Whedon wrote and directed “The Avengers” which went on to become one of the highest-grossing films ever made – raking in $1+ billion worldwide!

4. High Roller Observation Wheel

If you’re looking for a way to get a bird’s-eye view of the city on your Las Vegas vacation, the High Roller is one option. At 550 feet tall, it’s the world’s tallest observation wheel and provides an impressive panoramic view of Las Vegas from its enclosed pods.

You can choose from three different experiences: SkyJump (a leap from 135 feet above ground), VIP SkyBoxes (private enclosures with private bathrooms), and standard cabins that hold up to 40 passengers.

The ride lasts about 30 minutes, so be sure to grab some cash beforehand so you can take photos on your phone at all the best angles!

5. The Strip at Night

One of the best times to explore Las Vegas is at night. The city’s iconic Strip—which contains all of its biggest casinos and hotels—is even more impressive when lit up in neon colors, with large fountains, volcano eruptions, and lights dancing along the sides of mega-resorts like Wynn Las Vegas.

You can take a stroll down the Strip at night or hire a pedicab to drive you around for a bit (there are also horse-drawn carriages).

And if you want something less typical than walking around on foot or taking a ride through town, head over to Fremont Street instead: it’s an older part of town that has been revitalized over time with new restaurants, bars, and attractions like SlotZilla zip lines!

6. Mob Museum

The Mob Museum has a lot of history to tell, and it will give you plenty to see. The exhibits are organized into sections that separate the different aspects of the mafia’s influence on Las Vegas.

There’s also a section dedicated to movies and shows about mobsters as well as law enforcement agencies that were involved with them, which makes for some interesting reading material while waiting in line for your turn at one of their interactive exhibits.

Aside from all this great history, one thing that makes this museum stand out among others is its accessibility: it’s usually pretty easy to get into without any wait whatsoever—even during peak visiting hours around lunchtime or after work hours!

But now let’s talk about what actually goes on within these walls: there are many fun activities available here such as watching TV shows like The Sopranos or Goodfellas while sitting inside an old-fashioned diner car; playing skee ball at an old school arcade game machine; learning how cops used to make fake license plates back in the day; trying out some magic tricks using cards; checking out how real weapons look compared side by side with replica weapons used on film sets…and much more!

7. Eat Good Food

If food is your thing, you’ll love Las Vegas.

The city has some of the best restaurants in the world, including some with world-famous chefs. There are places where you can get amazing food on any budget and others that are so exclusive they require reservation months in advance.

Many hotels and restaurants will offer a private event space, so if you’re looking to celebrate a big birthday, anniversary, or bachelor/bachelorette party, ask around to see what you can get!

Visiting Las Vegas Doesn’t Have to Be All About Gambling

Visiting Las Vegas is more than the Strip. Sure, you’ll want to visit the casinos and see shows like Cirque du Soleil, but there are plenty of other things to do on your trip.

Whether you’re into food, science, or history, there’s something for you in Vegas. It may be called Sin City, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a wholesome time!
