We’ll be going over the instructions step-by-step below. Keep reading to learn more!
The iPhone Conference Call Setup Process
You can set up a free conference call with up to five other people. Start by calling the first person that you want in the meeting. Wait for them to answer.
Tap on the “+” icon on the bottom left-hand side of the screen—it should say “Add Call.” Dial the second number for your conference call and wait for them to connect.
Repeat the above steps to add additional attendees. Once everyone is present, tap on the “Merge Calls” button; that will begin the conference call.
Keep in mind, however, that conference calls may not be available if you’re using WiFi-calling or Voice over LTE.
How to Add an Incoming Caller
If you’ve invited someone to the meeting but they’ve missed the call, they can still join. All they have to do is call you back.
When they’re calling, tap on the “Hold and Accept” button at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. Select the “Merge Calls” option once the call is connected and that’ll add them to the existing conference call.
If you don’t see a “Merge Call” option, you may have to contact your carrier as your current plan may not support the feature.
How to Remove a Caller
You can remove a person from a conference call at any time as long as you’re the one who started the meeting.
Look for a lowercase “i” inside a circle—it should be at the top right-hand corner of the screen. Tap on it and additional options will come up.
There should be a red “End” button next to the participants’ names. Tap on the one next to the person that you’d like to remove and they’ll be dismissed from the call. You’ll then be able to resume your meeting with the remaining contacts.
