Ghorepani Poon hill trek is the busiest short trek in the Annapurna region. It is also known as Ghorepani Ghandruk circuit trek or Annapurna panorama trek. It is a 5-days trek, but you can make it from 2-days to a week. You can see a couple of hundred trekkers every day on the Ghorepani Poon hill trekking trail during the high trekking season. Autumn and Spring are the best timings for the trip, but you can do it all around the year.

Ghorepani Poon hill trek starts from Pokhara after driving on a tourist bus from Kathmandu. You can either fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu. After spending a night in this beautiful lake city, you will take a drive an hour and a half to Nayapul. Private transport or public to reach Nayapul from Pokhara can also be visited.

You will hike to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri on the first day following the Bhurungdi River. You will cross the Modi River in Birethanti before getting to the Bhurungdi River valley. There are a few traditional Gurung villages on the hiking route. Also, the Magar people are the local inhabitants on this trek. Gurung and Magar are Mongolian looking people and famous in the British Gurkha regiment.

You will pass some beautiful farming terraces like the paddy and millet fields. After spending your first night in Tikhedhunga or Ulleri, you will hike to Ghorepani the next day. There is a famous view tower (Poon Hill). You can enjoy unblocking sunrise and magnificent Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif from this hill station.

After enjoying the beauty of Annapurna from Poon Hill, you will trek to Tadapani, Syauli Bazaar via Ghandruk and Nayapul. Then you will drive back to Pokhara after a successful Ghorepani Poon hill trek.

Mardi Himal is a newly famous short trekking route in the Annapurna conservation area. Mardi Himal trek offers the best trekking experience in the Annapurna region. There are lots of internal hikers compared to external trekkers. You can do it in 5 days if you have limited time. It can finish in 5 days if you have a short time and can walk fast. But, 7-days is perfect for the slow trekkers and enough to explore all itineraries.

Mardi Himal trek begins with a short drive to Kande from Pokhara and goes to forest camp. After that, you will visit Low camp, Badal danda, and high camp. After spending a night in the last lodge, you will go up to the viewpoint and the base camp. Then, you will hike back to Siding and drive back to Pokhara.

Mardi Himal trek offers the most beautiful view of the Annapurna massif and edge of green hills. You can see the Modi river valley well, through where the Annapurna base camp trekking trail goes.

Everest View Trek

Everest view trek is about a one-week trek from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. It is also known as the Everest Panorama and Lukla to Tengboche trip. You don’t need to have a long holiday to see Mt. Everest and explore a lower area of the Khumbu region if you do this tour.

Everest view hike begins from Kathmandu, flying to Lukla on a small aircraft. After that, you will hike to Phakding on the same day as the flight.
